The Lords of Trance Finale Extraveganza, Pt. 1

Yep, you read it right. TONIGHT is night 1 of our fantastical 2-week farewell special! We thought about it and we’ve got too many great tunes and we don’t want to deprive our audience. So, tonight is night one!

You should expect to hear a lot of our “new” classics, like old tracks of the week and songs that we’ve deemed Hall Of Fame worthy. We may also try to throw in a new track or two, but we’ll see how that goes. As for the Euro block, same deal, with our favorite discoveries from this past semester creeping up tonight.

We’ll have a few guests in tonight as well to help begin the sending off of our great show, so be sure to tune in to what will be a GUARANTEED dance party for the ages!

Yeah, We’re Still Here

Sorry for the long distance between posts, it was a combination of Spring Break and my absence from the show last week due to a job interview somewhere that wasn’t in Iowa City. Nevertheless, The Lords of Trance are alive and well, and we’ve got some great stuff planned for the rest of the semester!

First off, be sure to tune in this week to hear a special LIVE SET from our good friend and fellow electronic maniac DJ Arbiter, aka Josh Messer! We’ll have him in the studio for a live set and to talk a bit about life and other things. In addition to his set, we’ll be (hopefully) doing an album highlight of the semester, which we haven’t done yet. If one of us can manage to snag a copy then look forward to hearing Armin van Buuren‘s new A State of Trance 2010 compilation, which comes out THIS FRIDAY! If not, we’ll figure something out…haha.

In other news, we’re going to try to put some great stuff together for our last few shows of the semester, including our picks for the Lords of Trance Hall of Fame, a best of Bad Segment(s), and some guests to help celebrate the end of a great run here on KRUI. We will do our best to keep everyone informed on what’s happening, so be sure to check out the blog whenever you get the chance. For now, be sure to tune in Saturday night at 10 P.M.
